They don’t know it but to everyone else it’s obvious. The smiles they share when they think nobody is looking. The looks that pass between them each time their eyes meet. Their chemistry is obvious to everyone but them. They try so hard to hide it, to hide behind sharp spoken words and icy glares but they can’t. And you don’t think they should. Being in love, having someone love you is something you believe people should hold on to not hide. You know that fear has a lot to do with it; they’re scared to be open about how they feel. They can’t admit it to each other, how could they admit it to everyone else. You know that there are times, like these when Miranda wishes she was someone else. Someone less known someone that the press didn’t care about but if she was they would never have met. Wouldn’t be playing this game with each other, hiding and loving in secret. You wish you could take them to one side and tell them it was ok, that everyone knows and nobody cares; you never will. Miranda still scares you even after all these years. You smile slightly as their eyes meet across Miranda’s desk and an elegant eyebrow lifts causing a charming blush to cover Andy’s cheeks. Part of you wants to know why but a larger part of you doesn’t wish to know. Doesn’t wish to imagine what happen between them. You’re content to live with you romantic daydreams about eyes meeting over The Book or fingers casually intertwining as they walk side by side. Any more detail is too much detail for you to cope with. Mental images of them together that you don’t want. They don’t know it but to everyone else it’s obvious.
